Dang thats a great dad story, heres my dad true fishing story as I remember it anyway. ..Dad was a master at flyrod fishing for bass, no matter where we would go, pond or river he caught bass, big bass too no small stuff. He would hold the fly hold the line pull it back and "shoot it" in the boat slip of a duck blind. Back in the bass hayday of currituck sound we would fish around the marsh islands, when we would get hot we would just pull the boat up and wade fish around the islands, I swear those islands had the biggest cotton diamond boa python snakes in the world! They didn't bother dad, he would just run them off with his 9.5' flyrod! I don't know how he fished because once I saw the fisrt snake I was climbing on top of his shoulders! Never ever ever never did we get skunked and all the bass were at least 9lbs! Thats the way I remember it anyway and thats just fine with me!
