i have plenty of leaves where i live. i save all my kitchen stuff (peelings, lettuce, cabbage, tea bags, etc.) do not use any type of meats. i have a compost pile at my garden. it takes about a year to make compost. mix and turn brown and green stuff. i plant my pepper and tomatoe plants. before it rains or put my cages around my plants, i put a nice layer of compost around my plants. this keeps the rain from splashing up on the leaves, preventing leaf disease and end rot. my yields and disease problems have been much better since i started this. i mostly plant rutgers, early girl, lemon boy, and sweet 100 cherry. for peppers mostly sweet green and red, couple hot ones
