I live about 2 hrs. from Fredericksburg. I take I81S. (I70 about 35 miles north) to RT 5OE. to RT17S. to Fredericksburg. I stay on RT17S. (hate I95) all the way until I have to start heading east to banks. takes a little longer and you have to go thru a few towns but hardly no traffic. we stop a few times and it's a lot better than fighting those crazy drivers on I95.
