Travelin back here to the OP compound, decided to changed route to a more southernly to miss snow forecast for OH and PA. (+ hate PA pike). Btw OH and PA pikes paid $35 in tolls.

At wake up in Fredericksburg, Mrs. Capt says its 0530 hrs. Were to leave at 0630 hrs. Got downstairs and clock = 0330 hrs. Should have known w/ that start it wouldn't be a great trip.

Hit 1 1/2 hours of snow anyway in WV mountains.

Then 1 hour back up on I-70W.

Then another 40 minute backup after that getting onto I-77.

Icing on the cake, just about home on I-77, and road closed and detoured.

8 hour trip (w/ lunch break) took exactly 11 hours!!

Daughter here when we arrived. Brought Chinese for dinner + unloaded the van.

Woke up this AM w/ dozy of a cold...probably from Bob Evans lunch as place not clean.
