Jap, Thanks for the refresher course on fishing saltwater intercoastal and surf, that's exactly what I was looking for without coming out and asking :) I will look to buy a striping basket while I'm down. I'll stop into TW's, I think they carry fly stuff.

N8VTRT Our house is surfside at milepost 11. I plan on doing some pier fishing at night a few times as well. I've just been wanting to try and fly fish with big stuff as I am primarily a trout fisherman. Maybe we could hook up and fish?

I just bought a 7-8 wt. Ike Walton Tackle 1348 1/2, glass rod with a Pflueger Medalist 1495. Any recommendation on WF or DT or F and S tip? I'm thinking a WF8S line would be the best?
