8weight or 9! Conditions are ideal when the surf is small and the tide is either rising or falling quickly with sunrise or sunset. Also consider conditions such as wind, crowds, and the presence of seaweed. If the wind is bad a stripping basket is a must in the surf. Essential surf flies in this area include Clousers in various colors (chartreuse/white, olive/white, blue/white), mole crab patterns, shrimp patterns, and even Woolly Buggers.

green and white clouser if I had to pick just one pattern, spanish,blues,croakers,spot,sea mullet,flounder all seem to love it.

In the sound, *poppers are the secret, twitch twitch pause steady = money!!
