I think they probably were the first to make curly tail grubs. I know Mann's Bait and Tackle were innovators in "Jelly Worms" ,but I'm pretty sure Mister Twister was the first grub. I think I remember starting to see them in tackle shops early to mid - 80's.

I've fished them like you mentioned , but I've always had better luck adding a little hop here and there. Like all of the old classics , being able to vary the retrieve to produce different actions makes them more versatile.

Did you get into any of the speck action before the cold spell? I heard from a few friends that it had been good for a while.
