I'm still young and healthy but I've learned a lot about it from a very good doctor here. Plenty of water is very important. Your total fluids a day is suppose to equal about a big 2 liter bottle. Avoid the salt, read the labels some have less salt than others for example Food Lion brand tomato sauce has the least. Some of the canned vegetables like green beans have a no salt added it's on the front of the can. Stay away from soups. The no salt stick butter is the best one, I've been using the Smart Balance tub of butter that has some salt in it. You might not want to eat the fried blooming onion at the Black Pelican in Kitty Hawk, my grandfather swore that's what caused his heart attack.
