A couple of my creations and something good you might want to try sometime kind of tastes like sweet potato or pumpkin pie. They are expensive at the grocery store but the seeds are easy to recycle....
Butternut Squash
1) Peel down to orange flesh, clean out the seeds.
2) Cut into bite size pieces, put in a glass dish.
3) Cover with plastic wrap, fold back one corner to vent.
4) Cook 6 to 8 minutes in microwave, knife should slide through pieces.
5) Put butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in it after cooking and mix everything up.
3 tbsp. butter
5 tbsp. brown sugar
cinnamon to taste***
Acorn Squash
2 squash - 4 pieces
1) Cut small piece off top and bottom, leave the skin on.
2) Cut across in half and clean out the seeds.
3) Place them holes up in a square dish, cover with plastic wrap and vent. Microwave for about 16 minutes or until soft.
4) Put butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in each hole of squash when done.
1 tbsp. butter in each one
2 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar in each one
cinnamon to taste
