We all have our crosses to bear.
Mrs. Capt hates to even "think" about goin fishin. Think how thats been for 44 years.
Goin cross street tonite for dinner and to pick place for Sept visit. Most probably an OF in Salvo. Wife had wanted to revisit northern beaches. Been about 12 years since we pulled out and moved to HI. Did a price check on Corolla beaches. Cost prohibitive. Yuppie prices are entrenched. Shame, as we spent 20 years there. Lots of memories and friendships.
Lookin at your post on thread above. Think I posted earlier that happened only once to the Capt. If so, this may be a repeat. Was in Whalehead, early 90's, Sept. Had "free" week at cottage we'd rented for years. Weather was picture perfect. Warm as summer. Surf crystal clear all week. No rain. Tried everything. Nothin.
Contrast that w/ the way it used to be early 80's... 50+ in the AM, and 50+ after dinner. Good Old days eh?? Weren't a lot of rays, skates, sharks caught then. Most everything was eatin stuff. Now 15 - 20 about the norm, and at least 1/2 some days are the above. Reason been fishin sound more...that, + fact easier for grandkids to catch em there.
Clipper band just past thru, another on radar on the way.
Guess we can't compolain tho so far this winter. Was hopin to avoid goin out in AM but promised neighbor w/ MS I'd take him to breakfast.
