Swimmers and surfers....some of the Capt's favorite subjects.

W/ swimmers. They come down while you're there ... no one else for 1/2 mile in either direction and they jump in next to you. Now that would be OK if the water was runnin away... but oh, no they're in the lines w/i 2 minutes. And... they expect you to leave!!!

Surfers, around Rodanthe pretty much the same. Come later, and are quickly in the lines. Since they are "superior" to others... wouldn't you think they'd play the water direction too?? Apparently not!! Sorry to say ...give em no quarter when they try to take advantage. Lead flys right at em. In recent summers a "surf" camp comes down daily, 10 - 20 of them. Now shouldn't the "counselors" tell them about common courtesy to fisherman and swimmers. Apparently they don't!! Therefore we can just expect more of the same as the "students" grow up.

Now there you go, you went and mentioned one of the Capt's pet peeves:):) Have posted often about it. Its worse every year too!!
