I remember the shark attack it was the boyfriend that died not the girl. She survived, the shark bit off and ate one of her butt cheeks. It happened around Labor Day Weekend at Ramp 38 right after another shark attack at Virginia Beach and been awhile was the big news story before the 9/11 attack. The Corolla shark attack happened in September so could be bull sharks migrating south out of the Chesapeake Bay.

What your seeing is probably sand tigers from the wrecks in the area. They are more of a fish eater than an anything eater. You know anytime you go swimming in the ocean there is always a small chance that you might get eaten by a dinosaur.
