Terry,

Thanks for all your input.I must admit I am getting a bit crazed looking forward to fishing coastal NC! Can't really blame myself, these days we only make it to the ocean about every two years, and I've always had good times and good fishing in the Outer Banks, but am unfamiliar with the Northern Beaches.Talked to a couple bait/tackle shops in the area, but they seemed more inclined to sell me charters or equipment than make with free advice.Oh well, they gotta make a living too. Hopefully, they'll be more helpful if I'm buying beer and bait in person. Thanks again, Happy Angling!
