If you are looking for a good guide for a half or full day trip in the sound Doug Martin out of Teach's Lair is great. Fish with him every spring and fall.
Good luck and enjoy the trip.
Since it's your first trip and your camping a word of caution. If you see something that looks like a bicycle inner tube leave it alone. It's a cotton mouth and it's a long ride to the first aide station in Nags Head.
