30 years ago. Sound access at Olde Duck Beach Rd. Friend w/ me and our 7 kids all under 12. Out about waist deep crabbin. Water like glass. See snake coming toward us from shore. Move the group north. Snake turns and continues toward us. Move group south. Snake turns and continues to come toward us. Oh. oh... what to do?? Only thing left...yell "SNAKE", every man for himself"!! Water boiled w/ the 18 legs churnin up the water. Snake scared off. Never got close enuf to "sex" it.
