The fishing has been fun. Striper, croaker, spot, sea turtle, sand perch all from the sound. (The pier under the Washington Baum bridge has reopened.) The sea turtle was a huge surprise. He must have snagged the hook on his/her shell swimming by. He was cut lose unharmed.
Make sure you have your permit to fish, watch your limits and sizes. The game patrol has been checking hard.
If you have a young person under 16, there must be an adult with a permit(10 day permit for $10.00) to surpervise them. Even if the adult is not intending to fish. The rip currents have been an issue a few days this week. Be safe and have fun!!
