WOW you guys sure bring back memories. Things I hadn't thought about in years. When I was little you couldn't get me to sit still except to eat. Bike riding and baseball were our biggest things. After dinner it was throwing a ball with Dad till dark. We had a tv but it sometimes went several days without being turned on. Grew up in East Texas and also remember Dad digging a bomb shelter during the missle crisis. I was young enough not to really understand what was going on but it was fun to play in. Simpler times indeed, didn't lock the doors. Never gave it a thought. Moving to Richmond in mid 60's was an eye opener. LOL Remember my first snow storm, had never seen it before except in movies. My Dad waking me up early because it was gonna take me longer than usual to WALK to school IN THE SNOW OMG is this any way to treat a kid? Turns out yes it is, thank goodness it was only uphill one way.
