king rigs

Hello, I am going to be in nags head for the week of sept 9-16 and though I have fished the piers everytime I go I have been looking into the possibility of fishing a king rig to try to get to some of the big boys this year. The question I have is more about the etiquette while fishing this type of rig since I will be a rookie at this type of fishing I do not want to have issues either (everytime I go everyone is very friendly and I have a great time and dont want that to change) I usually fish the nags head pier and will be trying jeanettes when I go this year so any info would be greatly appreciated.
