Jap: per your recommendation, I picked up a TorQue reel...wow!
Took it out in the snow up here in MI, and it was performed beyond expectation in the cold weather. Landed some trout in one of our hotspots her,e and the damned thing felt like melted butter at 29 degrees! Can't wait to try it out in the sand this spring.
