Hey Tom, Please forgive me for all the links ahead of time.
My great-grandfather taught me when I was young, Boy spend your money in AMERICA. With Penn being my go-to rod-reel of choice.. Thats what most of us use down here, The new Highend TorQue is sealed completly you can Bury the sun-B**** in the sand and not one grit will make into the Reel seat... http://www.pennreels.com/

If your looking for something better then I'd go with ZeeBaas, Penn started shipping jobs oversea's and buying part's-lube's from china.. If you have the cash this would be my first choice.... http://www.zeebaas.com/

Now if those are too highend, Id roll with something less expensive on the penn website.. I fish with the Senator, Captiva, and Pursuit, for both fresh/salt water.
