After the moratorium was off I fished the bay with many a charter. We caught a large amount of Stripers 30 lbs. and more. There was a min. in the Spring 27 in. and in the Summer 18 in. But no max size. Should have been a slot limit like Red Drum. Fisherman were taking all the big breeders out of the cycle.A 30 lb. Striper is approx. 10 years old and the bigger ones up to 25 years.Everyone was killing what was saved during the 20 year moratorium.And now the Striper fishing on the Bay is not what is was.Not a crab problem a fishing reg. problem.It was sure fun catching and keeping thouse big guys but in retrospect stupid.
