corova beach fishing

Hello guys and gals. I will be staying at a rental this july at corova beach ten miles up from the end of the main road in corolla. I am looking to do some surf fishing and maybe hit a party boat with my kid. Is the water temp going to be too warm this time of year for bass and blues? If so please give me some input as to what I can expect out of the surf. (flounder, drum etc.) Any input would be greatly appreciated
