I was fishing at Lake Anna with a freind one day and he told me the story of when he lost his brand new rod and reel fishing there some years earlier. We all use a second pole with a sabiki rig to catch bait with. Seems that one frigid morning his brand new Zebco had slipped out of his hand and was gone.
Months later i was fishing there by myself and I pulled up a Zebco rod and reel caked in mud. I remembered the story, took it home and soaked it in a bucket for a week. After getting it clean it actually worked like new. I threw it in the back of my truck and months later when I pulled up at the bridge there was Greg. I didn't say a word as I set up near him and when his back was turned I put the rod and reel behind him with his bait rod and waited. When he ran out of bait he turned around and saw his Zebco, the look on his face and words of disbeleif were wonderfull.

I still get a kick out of that every time I see him or tell the story
