I probably have more than I should admit to. A good friend and I had a week of striper fishing about ten years ago that was like something from a National Lampoon movie.
First thing that happened was we almost sank my boat. We launched it without the plug and didn't notice it until I had parked my Dodge and was walking to the ramp. By the time I ran back and got the trailer backed in so we could take it out of the water the boat had about eighteen inches of water in it. It did clean it out pretty good though.
Next trip the mount for the trolling motor broke. I found out when I stepped on the foot control and the trolling motor headed west by itself.
On another day , we got set up with no trouble and fished for a few hours. All of a sudden one of the poles just goes crazy , jerking and bouncing in the rod holder , bait clicker screaming etc. Then it just goes slack. My buddy grabs it and tries to figure out what's going on when we notice the line is straight over head. A seagull. If I remember right , that was the only bite we had that day.
To end the week , I was showing my friend how to tie a new knot. I walked him through it , showing him step by step what I was doing so he could tie it himself later. I finished by moistening the line then cinching it down tight while saying " This is how you tie a knot" and also burying the 3/0 Eagle Claw hook in the tip of my ring finger. Couldn't get it out on the boat cause it was buried to the bend. Had to go to the doc for a tetanus shot and to have the hook removed. I did get a nice pair of scissors from the doc though.
There's probably more that I'm forgetting , but some of it was stuff you would've had to see for it to be funny.
