We have had pretty good luck finding a hole close to our rental, so I shouldn't be dragging this too far. I have only driven on the beach a couple times, but plan to look into it more this trip. In fact, I have it in mind to look for a rod holder while down there. I don't have a receiver on the front of my truck. Do you have any opinions on getting one to plug into the hitch on the back? I've seen some on eBay that hinge down so you can drop the tailgate with the rods still in the holder. Or, is it best to just pony up and get the mount for the front? '07 Ram 1500 if it matters.
