you could also try the fishbites bloodworms. not as messy and last longer than a bag of fresh bloodworms.....only downside is that they can be really hit or miss. I've had days when the fish would eat every bloodworm I had but wouldn't touch the fishbites. if you can throw a cast net, that's a good way to get fresh bait, just go somewhere soundside and toss at any school of baitfish you see. even the smallest opening will probably get something. these have been my favorite methods over the years
