Listen to Terry. I promise you I'm the worst castnet thrower on the planet, but even throwing a somewhat open glob of net on top of mullet in the surf will get you enough fresh bait for a day or two if you keep it on ice.Live bait is not as important as FRESH! The frozen stuff gets dehydrated and loses I'ts oil turning it into a cardboard thing that smells a little like fish. Buy a 4.50-5.00 castnet, about fifty bucks, and throw it around a little bit in the back yard. There is a bunch of ways to throw the things. I'm not proud (a little hardheaded),but when I see someone doing something like throwing a net at the beach,I politely approach them and ask how the heck are you getting that thing to open.99% of the time they will be happy to help you. Remember,FRESH,FRESH,FRESH. I learned it the hard way. Good luck,Rodney
