It was better times in that era and now the new ones don't have a clue on what was missed, some of them big babies wouldn't like it.
I had grown up with properties so I did not get to see it from a something new point of view, my early first wasn't a good one of it.
That would be my grandmother being knocked down by a wave while holding me and me clawing down in the sand trying not to get sucked out.
I know that is young to remember but I do it's more like a bad dream you can't forget of sliding down a slope into a giant wall of water.
When I got older I did enjoy swimming and throwing the frisbee on the beach before I got into fishing and found out big sharks are there.
Nothing like having all your gear tore up and sent home in under an hour. You know it just doesn't want to make you want to go for a swim.
Anyway this site is paid for another year to Jan. 2021 seems kind of slow lately guess this will pick up later when the weather gets better.
I see people are complaining on Facebook about Spectrum going up $40 a month at the beach and being down for 1 to 2 days I'm glad it's gone.
The govt used to get on them about it a long time. I think some are trying to get rid of all that don't have plenty of money to burn there.
The weather here in western NC has been chilly at night and not too bad during the day with some rainy days, snowed once but did not stick.
No ice so far on the pond, the fish have been feeding sometimes on the warmest days watched the heron catch some up in the swamp yesterday.
Looked like that was either small bass or shiners. The water has been up from the rain and flooded that end and the paths I use over there.
I did find out the barb wire around it was put in by previous owners father to protect the shallow fish beds from cows walking through it.
BTW, I heard what sounded like 2 bigfoots yelling at each other to the west Saturday night was really loud and had every dog around barking.
