first trip to banks

not sure what year it was but had to be 80's. had a Subaru hatchback. neighbor told me to stay at ole London inn. (gone now). got their checked in and was happy that you could walk over dune to beach. went to ben franklin and got some fishing gear. bought a blue fish rig with a white buck tail. neighbor said walk down beach to power pole and fish. I got up at daylight and went down to pole. thru rig out cranked a couple of times and bang, caught a 2 lb. blue. I thought man this is easy. fished until 10 am and never got another bite. next day headed to avon. even though the Subaru was 4 wheel drive, I was afraid to take it on the ramp. so we walked from parking place to surf. I had finger mullet and caught all kinds of fish. mostly kingfish and blues. had a great day until we got almost to car. the flies and mosquitos like to eat us up. never forgot that. was a great vacation and not crowded like now.
