Last on the toll causeway (to tie into south end of Whalehead beach) was current state administration won't support it, as too costly.

How many years now, that thats been kicked around???? Between politicians and tree huggers, don't hold your breath.

+...the damage to the area from all the traffic, commerce and crime...would be irreversable and devastating.

Btw, status of Best Western plans to build w/ shops and miniature golf, in South Salvo, since Irene, now unknown.

Maybe Current TV (cable station) sold by Al Gore last week) to Al Jazerra, will cover the story:):)
