My family took me kicking and screaming to Bald head island 12 years ago.I have never looked back.We lost our Daddy November 8,2010 "Greatest generation",one of the moments that sticks in my mind is when I had a nice drum get off in the wash on our first trip. "Told you to bring a net". Don't use nets in the surf I retorted.Well if you... (keep in mind that the total knowledge between us about surf fishing was a big fat zero at that time).OK he replied.Not that I know what I'm doing now,but I landed a 39'' drum on the east side of the cape this Oct.So cold and windy that nobody was nuts enough to be out there.Wish Daddy could see this I thought.Then it occurred to me that he did in fact see the entire event.Wonder if that was the same fish?
