I see it both ways. The rec guys want to catch more but so do the commercial guys. I think that some common sense needs to apply. And I'm with the capt on some of the agricultural causes. If I disturb over 1 acre I have to have erosion control plans and silt fences and etc. How many farms down the stretch of 64 have their ditches dump straight into the canals. But I also remember about 10 years ago we had a bad year for the crabbing industry and instead of just saying sorry guys maybe next year they opened up closed waters that were estuaries and a bunch of the breeding suits(sp? Female crabs) were caught. That hurt the following years. I've actually sent my paperwork in to try to get on the eligibility pool for a commercial license but I think there does need to be a common sense method applied.
