For the smaller size stripers just a regular double hook bottom rig with size 2 hooks and fresh cut mullet, 4/0 hooks on heavy mono if they are running big around 28", same thing for puppy drum.

The wind laid down but the ocean is still very rough on this end of the beach. I think the waves are higher than what they are saying now because it looked like the waves were hitting the bottom of Avalon Pier from their parking lot today, nobody was fishing on the pier.

Also all of you watch out for the bicycles seems like more and more of them. One got hit at the water tower in Kill Devil Hills today, looked like a girl laying in the road and they were working on her with a car parked at an angle.
