Those pics are beautiful.
Sort of reminds me a little when back in the 40s we fished a place called Breezy Point Jetty.
Located in Rockaway NYC, this jetty was erected to keep Coney Island from flooding during storms.
It seemed like a mile off shore ,however everything looked big then.
The jetty had huge stones on it, cut square and the size of living rooms.
Over the years storms tossed them around and spaces in the jetty developed.
There were about 3 areas where we had to get across the breaks between waves.
I cant believe we never had problems, although being teenagers we sure were indestructible.
Fishing was great, as was the subway ride home with burlap sacks full of uncleaned fish.
Had the train all to ourselves as we smelled as good as the fish....
