i think most people hunt morrel mushrooms. it would be very hard to pick the wrong thing. even the one they call the false morrel looks very differant. been hunting them for over 40 years and never picked the wrong thing yet. we still pick wild asparagus, water cress and land cress. there are alot of edible mushrooms out there, but most don't taste very good. they say that anything that grows on wood is ok to eat. i've found it also tastes like wood. lol. we used to make dandelion wine. was pretty good.
