For the shrimp try boiling them.Fill a pot with water,add pickling spices, cut up lemons, beer,cider vinigar,and Old Bay.If you have a better seasoning like the stuff they sell at Austins Seafood use it.Boil it for about an hour, you will have to add more water, but the long boil gets the seasoning into the water. Add the shrimp, timing till done depends on weather the shrimp is frozen or not.Usually 5 min or so after a hard boil starts.Done when they are firm and easy to peel.Dump them into a collinder and wash with cold water (makes them easier to peel).Before you eat them put them in a plastic bag and add more seafood seasoning then shake.Add as much seasoning as you need for your taste preference.Best shrimp are the local Carolina brown shrimp or the pink Gulf ones. The farm raised ones are crap.Support your local shrimper.
