I knew the Captain would pull through for us!

Speaking of Mantas , there was one hanging out under Rodanthe last year that was probably 12 feet wide or so ,watched her all week. I caught a Stingray that was maybe 20 inches across or so and when he first took off , I thought I'd hooked the Manta. I said some choice words b/c anything that can make it long enough in the ocean to get that big doesn't deserve to be gut hooked or swim around with gear hanging out of it's mouth.

I've seen bigger Mantas cruising the bar off of Rodanthe and several other piers. Amazing how big those jokers get.
