There is some basic info on the page linked below. Croaker are pretty common in Virginia and North Carolina waters. Most of mine have been caught on top of the bar or just behind it , but I have seen them caught right on the beach almost and some of the boats catch them too. They are a fun fish to catch if you have young kids fishing with you and they are excellent table fare too.
