The week of July 4th I put in at various places around Oregon Inlet (south side of the bridge, marina, Bodie Island Lighthouse) and did pretty well. Caught blues, small (non-keeper) flounder, croakers, a speck all week in the sloughs. Saw red drum tailing behind the coast guard station, but couldn't get them to bite.

Used squid and the new fish bites bloodworms with the most success, shrimp a little less success, cut mullet with almost no success.
