I have been reading this board for several years, posted a couple of times. Started coming to the Outer Banks in 1970 and have seen many changes. I have not come in June, July or August for more than 15 years now, because of the crowds and the way some visitors act. But it is not only visitors, this past May was staying in a house oceanfront in Kitty Hawk and fishing with my 3 stepsons(age 23-29)when set upon by skimboarders. We had been fishing for several hours right in front of the house, when they arrived and started running right through us and between us and even running into our lines. We politely asked them not to run between us and to watch out for our lines, their response was they live here and have more right to the beach than visitors.
My point being, EVERYONE not just visitors need to act responsibly.
