I agree. MOST locals though are pretty respectful of people fishing.

Sad to say but the world we live in is fast losing people who were raised to have common courtesy , respect for others and their property , and good manners. etc. etc.etc.

My favorite was a guy bottom fishing near the end of an OBX pier. Some people showed up with king fishing gear and were getting ready to throw out their anchor lines. They politely asked him to move so he wouldn't get hit with the eight ounce grapple sinker. He threw an abosolute fit about having the right to stand where he was and blah blah blah - until he saw the anchor hanging from a 12' fishing pole and a large man getting ready to start swinging it. He moved pretty quickly out of the way then.

Point is , everybody would get along so much better if people thought before they said , or did something stupid. I try to imagine how I would want people to act if I had thousands of visitors in my own back yard every summer... and act accordingly.
