Its surprising it hasn't happened sooner. I don't know about the lower banks but up in Corova, there's trash cans overflowing at some homes despite by-weekly trash removal and the County wont do any enforcement. A few extra quality trash cans the problem would be resolved.

The big rats moved in here during the Pandemic. The Neighbor lured them in with their Bird Feeder then of course they made their way into my house by chewing a hole in the floor through the crawl space. Had a heck of a time getting them all. Despite cutting off their food supply, every time I trapped a little one, the big ones would eat them right out of the trap. The big ones were pretty educated in that they knew what the trap looked like and wouldn't go near them despite trying every bait known to man. Finally got them all my moving everything out of the basement and wacking them with pellet rifle. A 410 would have worked better. Biggest one was 9.5 inches without the tail. Cost me about $1,500.00 before it was all said and done.
