Biggest problem locally now = moles. Maybe they cycle like cicadas? Had similar problem here at the homestead w/ voles about 10 years ago but none since.

On a lighter note. Goin to the way-back machine. Livin in inner city had a garbage shack out back of apartments. SOP was before opening door..."always" kick it several times to send rats to rear lest they jump at your throat when door was opened.
