Sorry Jeff,
I just checked my box in the basement. It is coarse. Sorry for the bad info. The salted shrimp does last longer on the hook than fresh. Just cut them into the pieces you usually use. I like cutting the shrimp into 1/2 - 3/4 in pieces. They will shrink slightly.
