My wife's grandfather introduced me to salt water fishing at the Oregon inlet catwalk. He cut them in half and put the tail on the lower hook. I saw a guy one day who used the larger hooks and would put four or five shrimp on in hooked thru the middle and would run at least one above the knot. Said it looked like a school of shrimp. Didn't catch any more than anyone else, I've never tried it. Fish feed by scent more than sight don't they?

I've started taking bait with me and stopping in Currituck for worms. Miss the days you could stop at Seamart and get most anything you needed.
