I knew something was going on with it because of the little bit of backhoe work being done when I was down. I had no idea the property was that large or about the ongoing dispute. Lots of places in that part of Rodanthe could use a little TLC, but that one has really started to look bad. Almost like a horror movie set. :)

I always thought the white house over on the sound behind one of the tracks was a good looking place with the extra large windows and all, even if it does look like it came from somewhere else. Of course , the rumor was that the matriarch of the family had passed, and the house had since become rat infested and just generally trashed by visitors, hence the rumors of condemnation. I'd like to see them do something with it, but you can't really blame the owners with the state of bridges and the economic situation.
