Ah , my mistake. I had heard of people using them years ago , back before everything was maintenance free. Of course that does make me wonder if they all have the additives in the alloy now, or if it's just the new sealed ones. i know the last deep cycle batteries I bought were made to have water added. So much for starting my pyramid sinker empire with leftovers from the boat.

The only lead I've bought for years are the anchors for king rigs , and still the two in my box have been around for about 5 years. I don't fish enough anymore.
