In Response To: First Trip of the Year (Yakman)

Those memories will last forever. My pond appears to have done well over the winter, water has been real clear lately and can see the minnows.

I'm seeing lots of baby bluegills and bass, plenty of bigger bluegills and the big carp survived and 2-3 pound bass are starting nest clearings.

The water temperature is still too low for the bluegills to start making their honeycomb craters, fished out 2 balloons that had eggs maybe frog.

Yesterday was windy with white caps and spray on the higher gusts seems to be over now. So far lucky having no tornadoes not so lucky elsewhere.

I'm doing the same thing with strawberries and longer planters this year and are in great shape moving the pots in and out of garage over winter.

They look like summertime, I kept moving them outside of unheated garage during the warm weeks. They do alright outside near 32 but not in upper 20s.

Currently trying to start some green bell pepper seeds, I like stuffed peppers and they keep getting higher at the store, 79 cents each at Food Lion.

Gas has been Biden cheap but not Trump cheap, it's $3.19 in town and Sheetz right off interstate is $3.45 seems standard price gouging on interstates.

This is sort of what I'm trying to do with the strawberries below to keep them so I can move just been trying a not let them go dormant stage strategy.
