the native brook trout streams are getting hard to find. still a few in the shenandoah national park. acid rain, pollution, ect. causing big problems. if you have not fished for native trout you have not really trout fished. there is a skill factor there. i am lucky to have a put and take stream i fish. above me are native brook trout(not stocked), below are stocked trout. so i'm in the middle. i have caught, what i call creek born rainbow trout. these trout where actually hatched in the stream. i keep this place a secret. good luck to you guys.
