Don't get me wrong, we have a few very good limestone spring streams here in this part of PA as well. Falling Spring Creek, Yellow Breaches and the Conodoguinet Stream. Me and the boys, my actual sons not my boys from the bar LOL. Do pretty well with the natives especially on the Cono. Stream. This stream runs through the mountains and state game lands and private land as well. Do to the water level this year I think a lot of the good holes that have been dried up for the last year or so may be productive again, at least thats the way it has been in the past. The nice thing is I am still agile enough (49yrs.) to hike down into the valley and hit some really nice hiders. Ripples, eddys and some beaver dam areas. As far as float stocking, I don't think the PAFC or the rod and gun club do that area anymore at least not as far down stream where we hike too. We do tend to pick up a random stocked fish from the down stream swimmers, popular park your car and fish out window spots a couple miles up stream, but we mostly pick up natives. On a good day we can pick up about 20 or so in about a 1 1/2 mile stretch. Another thing that is nice is that I have never seen anyone else fishing that stretch. We catch and release and it always nice when we go back to hook up with one we had caught previously, natives tend to have some unique features and markings that you can sometimes remember them by. NOW IM EXCITED!!!
